Comment: Gospelmusic is the best and deepest musical style of all time. This album tries to honour this fact and I think it does it very well. With artists like Al Green, Mavis Staples, Jonny Lang, Robert Randoph, Aaron Neville and famous names like Jon Bon Jovi and Michael McDonald there can't go much wrong. They play gospel songs from pop history like: Presence of the Lord, Higher Ground, People get ready, Redemption song, A change is gonna come, Oh happy day a.o.. In the booklet they tell the story of this songs. Some of them were written by musicians who were no christians. All songs on this album are very good. My favourites are the New Orleans Rhythm & Blues 'A change is gonna come' by Aaron Neville and 'Redemption Song' by Angelique Kid Jo and 'This little light of mine' by Joss Stone & Buick Audra. This song sounds like a session somewhere at a street corner with bluesharp, guitar and handclapping. Its a real masterpiece.
