Comment: this summer a young person struggled accepting God's love for them and at end of a week the realised how much the youth workers loved them dispite thier imperfect behaviour and they suddenly realised that if the youth workers could love them then God must love them too. there are people in our lives that love us and know us enough to have reasons not to love us - but they still love regardless. God knows us even more than others and He still loves us - it wouldn't be Grace if we had to do things to please Him or get His attention. I don't know if that helps 'anon' but my heart wept for you when I read your comment and I just wanted to respond in some way - because I think your heavenly Dad longs and loves to hug you and whisper to you that you are precious.
