I sung with the All American Quartet for about 6 months in 1951 and 1952. Rejoined them in late 1953 and stayed with them until they disbanded in June of 1956. I sang high tenor my first time around and again the second time. I also played piano and did the tenor for a couple of years. Some of the men I worked with were. C. R. Melton, owner & manager. Acel Soward, Bass. Gordon Hill, Bass. Lanny Bowman, Bass. Easmon Napier, Piano. Phil Drake, Piano. Ralph Green, Lead. Don Randall, Lead. Rayton Worthy, Lead. Warren Holmes, Bass. I worked with them in Mt, Vernon, IL. Decatur, IL. Quincy, IL.
