Comment: Groups such as "Melody Four"and "The Old Fashioned Revival Hour Quartet" were called "Christian Quartets". I didn't heart the term "Southern Gospel Quartet" until the 1980s; before that groups like the Harmoneers, The Rangers, and The Blackwood Brothers, and The Golden Gate Quartet were just called "Gospel Quartets".
