Comment: I won't pick an argument with Tony May, because likely the God-blessed, soul-heartening, tear-drawing, voice-driven music of these men is due to ". . . the honest, sincere, but rather rough and basic sound of men praising God to the best of their ability." I first heard them in 1954 at age 23 on tapes brought back from Scotland. Recordings were not available in America in the late 50s, I ordered several in 78rpm wax from Scotland. Now in my 85th year, their singing is more viable and thrilling than ever. God bless it.
