Comment: Wow! First time I heard this song it was sung br a man. Until this day I thought women changed "man" to accommodate "woman" Imagine my shock today to find this belief is actually in reverse. When I next heard this song, it was sung by a friend, who happened to be female. I thought she changed the words to suit her femininity. At that time, I was just recovering from being down so low, I was looking up at my feet! I was "hell-bent" on total self-destruction, but this song was on self-replay during many days at my lowest points. I thank God for Marian" singing that song at her church; and also thank to Marijohn for sharing it with the world. Because if neither had done what they did; who can tell where this life might have taken me. Who could imagine--save God--that I would, this day, be a "Called and Ordained Baptist Minister." Praise the Lord! On "Men's Day", November 22nd, I shall be leading this song, at Mount Tabor Baptist Church, where I serve. Shall definitely take a few moments to explain the origin of "One Day At A Time" and honor Marijohn. Thank her for me; and thank you for sharing. Marvin
