Comment: I was in Brethren Volunteer Service orientation in Oct thru Dec of 1963 with Mark as we prepared for our 2 years of alternative service. He lived just down the hall and he was working on the song "5 and 20 Questions" which he played for us when completed. I actually played that and his "Civil Defence Sign" in my short "career" as a want-a-be folk singer. He was a really nine guy and a very serious and committed pacifist. A had his first two Folkway albums signed to me but unfortunately lost them when Trailways lost one of my suitcases when going from Bew Windsor MD to McPherson KS. I corresponded with him a few times when he was doing his 2 years somewhere inC in California. I remember buying his final album and feeling that his music was as good as ever!
