Yes what the last three said
and lets have your response to this then Tom Brock
please let us know?
"How In Gods Name can you endorse Todd Bentley?"

You close with Matthew 7:8, I love this verse, it's one of God's great promises but Matthew 7 also says this:

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them...Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'"

Strong words from Jesus, here's hoping that Todd Bentley embraces the grace of God and chooses repentance. And here's hoping that people stop chasing after "magic" Christianity, signs and wonders (check what Scripture has to say on that subject), angel worship (ditto) and choose instead to follow Jesus and only Jesus.

As for the rest of us, let's be like Paul's beloved Bereans, and test everything against Scripture, especially the words of people claiming to speak for God to make sure that it is true. Let's watch out for "wolves" and do our best to keep others from them. Why else would Jesus warn us if it wasn't indeed a real danger? And furthermore, why would he tell us to be on the lookout if we weren't supposed to take action when those wolves attack?

I'm sorry but this is just plain shabby. The verses you quote here look great in the context of your article, but in their proper Scriptural context they tell a different story.

"And David said unto God, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the Lord; for very great are His mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man."

Yes, God spared David, but He also killed 70,000 Israeli men and nearly took out Jerusalem as a result of David's sin. God is merciful but there are earthly consequences for our decisions.

"When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, 'If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.'"

...and then Jesus said "Go and sin no more." You see, the correct response to the grace of God is repentance and regeneration, not to keep sinning and rebuke those who call you on it.

As for Todd Bentley's marital failings, that was just the icing on the cake. His "revival" was Biblically unsupportable to an absurd degree. There have been no documented miracles, only anecdotal at best. He was teaching angel worship and praising proven heretic frauds like William Branham. I watched that circus many times and could not believe the things I was seeing and hearing. It was out and out heresy.

Has anyone reading this ever considered that maybe what went on with Bentley really wasn't of the Lord, but really demonic in inspiration? With Bentley emphasis on angels (none of whom seemed to be male, the only gen der of angels mentioned in Scripture) and de-emphasis on Jesus, not to mention the dancing, manifestations and Bentley's descriptions of sensations that hvae more to do with mystic/contemplative occultic spirituality than biblical Christianity. Let it not be forgitten that there are such things as demonic healings, too, and as for deliverances, aren't the believers' process of Holy Spirit-led sanctification and the spiritual armor listed in Ephesians enough?
Certainly, we should look for and expect God to move among faithful bodoes of Chrisians. But Lord forbid that Bentley's circus of shenanigans should be considered such a move.

What a wonderful article! God is waiting and wanting to pour out His power on His people here in the UK. We've taken this step in my church and all I can say is it's the most amazing time we've ever been in!

I've really learned how better it is to "give than to receive"! We're looking outward and it's incredible!
The sense of expectation is heavy as if we're gonna give birth any time now!!

Watch this space!

Thanks
