I have followed you and the wonderful stories about your family since first seeing/hearing you on the Gaither videos. What an absolute blessing you have been to me. I find it very hard to believe that I have to give up my enjoyment of seeing/hearing you on every Gaither gathering. Please stay available to the public that loves you so deeply.

I too am saddened by the fact that Guy Penrod is leaving GVB. As a vocal group singer myself I have listened to and studued the DVD performances of the group very carefully. The vocal harmonies of Guy Penrod as a second tenor/lead and David Phelps as first tenor were spellbinding and vocally spectacular. It is magic to hear them in such songs as Good Good News, Yes I know, I'm gonna sing, On the authority, Knowing you'll be there, Sinner saved by grace. and many others they performed together. Stop reading this comment and go to The Best of Guy Penrod album on"you tube"...listen and watch "Sinner saved by grace" and tell me it isn't magic to hear the harmony between Penrod and Phelps. God has blessed them both with magnificent vocal ability and further blessed us all in bringing GVB together with both of them hitting the top two notes and Bill G or Russ T or Mark L on Bass and Baritone. Guy will never regain the vocal harmony magic as a solo artist and will someday rue the day he left the group. He will do well and he will sing up a storm and he will please his fans...but deep down inside he will miss the vocal dynamics that sent chills down your spine on playback. I wish him well and pray he will someday rejoin "God's Choir" The GVB.

I will certainly miss Guy and Marshall. I was very dissappointed when I heard they were leaving. I do know that Guy probably wouldn't change anything without asking for the Lord to show him the way. he is a man of many prayers. When he sings you can feel the Spirit of the Lord. I have only seen the GVB ony twice. Maybe Guy would consider giving us Washington State people a chance to hear him in concert. In all that you do, may God Bless and keep you safe. the same goes out to Marshall too. my Mom is 88 years old and listens to all of her GVB tapesl She loves all of you but you were her favorite.

I was shock to read that Guy Penrod is leaving the Gaither Vocal Band. I hope he will sing from time to time on the Precious Memories show. Happy to hear David Pheleps and Micheal English are coming back though.

Congratulation Guy!!! You are God gifted. You have had your time with the GVB. It's high time you move forward to utilise your God given talent. I wish to see you soon singing with your six or seven beautiful heros. My prayers are with you. Oh Marshal it's so sad to see you leaving so early to. Your voice made a perfect blend. Should have remained with Old Bil. Anyway wishing you all the best, Guy, Marshal and the GVB. We will continue to be your fans. We hope that you should at least made an effort to visit Fiji. We all love and admire the way you sing. Heaps of blessings as you serve the Lord in singing.

Oh! I'm only 17 but I grew up listening to Guy sing! When I was little we even wrote letters once and a while after meeting him at one of the shows in Dallas. I'm so sad to see him go but if its what he thinks God wants him to do so than I know that my family and I will support his decision.

Guy's new CD is very good!! I encourage all of his fans to buy it!! We were blessed to meet him personally while he was in Branson and he is as genuine as they come! He had his entire family with him and they also performed on stage. Guy, if you ever read this, this is from the wife of the "long hair" in Branson!! ha!!

We heard the "new" group at the Kansas State Fair -w/ many standing ovations (yes, I said Kansas!) The group and the solo work (David, Mark, Michael, Wes,) was 'Gaither perfect' and as always Mark brought down the house with laughter. Guy Penrod is and will always be an absolute favorite but when does life ever stay the same? God leads us all into change and we follow. Blessings!

I am hoping to hear soon about the August show that Guy did in Braanson, MO. Is there anyone who went and canyou tell us anything about Guy? We fans of his need an update on his whereabouts and his career.

We were at the show in Branson and while Guy had some "first concert" jitters, it was a great show and he did an excellent job of interacting with his fans. His music has taken on a bit more of a Country/Western style but his spirit and belief in God is still very evident.
