Mary Mckee is one gospel artist who made me realise my position before God when I first heard her songs in 1983. I was particulary inspired by the songs Higher Ground and How can you refuse Jesus Christ ( I hope this is the correct title of the song). If this band is still playing, could someone please connect me to them. I would like to sell their music here in Zambia.

All d comments on Mary Mckee reflects my thoughts exactly. Unlike d shallow American inspired pentecost al gospel music of today Mckee's songs were a metaphor of d seriousness of worship of d time. Pls how can I get all her cds esp 'A Greater Love'? I really really would like 2 have them.

Mary McKee and The Genesis gospel group was and still is in a different world. My favorite is "A Greater Love" wich I play in my car every now and then to or from the office. Every track in inspires, encourages and reassures;the other CD, "By The Rivers of Babylon", is so uplifting.

I listened to these songs as a student at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. They bring cherished memories of UI, IVCU and the Christian life in the 80's. Am happy I found where the CDs could be purchased

After the Genesis-Area, Mary McKee has made a Gospel Solo-Album in 1986,which includes two Duets with British-Singer Gerorge Hamilton VI. After this Album, Mary did also some others Duets on Albums from George Hamilton.
These Songs all are NOT available on CD-Format,but only on Vinyl or Cassette/Tape-Format.
Since them,i did not hear something about Mary. What is she doing?

I'm surprised but really, really glad to know the cds are now available. I remember searching, for over a couple of years, on yahoo and google about 6 yrs ago without a single hit. I remember making a special request to Kingsway music for the cds all to no avail. They've been just too inspirational. God bless them. I'll got get mine straight away

I notice the preponderance of entries from Nigerians here. It seems Mary McKee sang mainly for Nigerian Christian groups then! I stumbled on this site while combing through the net to get the lyrics of one of the songs she sang, 'We are together again'. My brother sent me a text this evening from Abuja asking if I still remember the lyrics of the song, he wants to teach the church band tomorrow!
And then these clips just brought the memories back again. I grew up on them in the 80's and 90's and they're still fresh. I checked Itunes but couldn't get them for download.
For the 1st time too today (you wont believe this!) I learnt Mary McKee is not from Nashville. Because she sang in country style I had always thought she was an American like other great country musicians, never knew she was Irish, despite the 'Mac' in her name. Thank you Mary McKee for being a blessing to the body of Christ. But where are you now?

If only men could hear the voice of Angels sing, I believe they will sound like Mary Mckee's. How I wish I could still lay hands on those divinely inspiring songs. I wish Mary & her group greater anointing.

I've never heard a more inspiring music. My soul is lifted and I get into the true heart of worship. Mary, may God reward you for using your talent to His Glory and for the Spiritual benefit of mankind
