I remember Water into Wine Band playing in Edinburgh in 1977. They musicianship and strength of the band, live, was clear.
We were your backing band, we were called Caedmon.
There's a poster from the gig on our new website www.caedmonsreturn.

I should have said 'support band' not backing band, and the link is www.caedmonsreturn.com
Doh!

Hey, what's this? An elongated reunion or what. Curiously I played the CD today, with my daughter Clare who is at Exeter University. Maybe you'll bump into her, Becky?
PS I still write music, play bass and sing (but mainly in Chamber Choirs and stuff like that)

hi becky - sorry not to remember you (my memory probably worse than ray's) but we all remember the good times and the bad times of WIWB, and memories of wonderful people we met. I'm sure you were one of them!
Cambridge in the 70s now seems a seriously long time past but it lives on inside.
These days I'm managed by wife and three kids and live in berkhamsted in hertfordshire. I've been an architect in london since leaving cambridge.
Lovely of you to drop a line - hope life is full and happy for you! peter
PS hi ray - when are we getting together again?

i'd love to grab all of the UK beat/jesus music folks together and host a re-discovery show at Greenbelt. I'm being given a pretty large stage. Would you guys be interested in helping me track some folks down?
I'm looking for a ton of beat musicians like the Joy Strings, Pilgrims, The Crossbeats, The Witnesses, etc.

Where are Water into Wine band now? I have an original 'Hill Climbing for beginners' from when I knew them, especially Ray with whom I worked, in Cambridge. They knew me as Becky Rogers. I often play it.

Hi. This message took me back to the Wonderful World of Gilbert Dodd if my increasingly shaky memory is correct. I had a dream about WIWB only last night. We were playing a gig - playing Stranger in the world. By the end of the first song the whole audience had left the room. What can this mean?
These days I play guitar for a weekly Sunday school audience, and curiously they never walk out. My latest idea is to learn mandola, and play with my daughter who is 9 and a violin freak. It can only get better.
