New direction for Steven Curtis Chapman with 'All Things New' album.

AMERICAN CCM star Steven Curtis Chapman has taken a radical new musical approach with his new album 'All Things New', set for September release by Sparrow Records. The album, though produced by Chapman's long-time producer Brown Bannister, was recorded in Los Angeles with engineers and musicians new to both Bannister and Chapman. Singing backups on two tracks on the album are Lifehouse's Jason Wade and Third Day's Mac Powell. Chapman told Cross Rhythms, "The theme of the album is all about spiritual renewal and I think the title also reflects a creative renewal which I am feeling. We assembled a team of world class players in Los Angeles and I am very excited about the new dimension they brought to my songs." CR
