HM magazine founder and Lust Control musician writes children's book

THE FORMER editor of HM magazine, Doug Van Pelt, has written and illustrated a children's book, Bobby Baby Bear. Van Pelt, who launched the hard music magazine HM in 1985 before selling it off in the spring of 2013, said about his venture into children's books, "Around the same time that I wrote my novel, Desert High, the entire plot for this children's story just kind of downloaded into my brain." Doug's band Lust Control released the album 'Tiny Little Dots' on Rottweiler Records in 2013.
