Christian mainstream group The Jonas Brothers chart with "Year 3000"

AMERICAN teen pop group The Jonas Brothers are enjoying a surprise hit with their single "Year 3000", a cover of the song which charted in the UK for Busted. The Jonas Brothers' version entered this week's Hot Hundred at number 40. The group have recorded one album, 'It's About Time', for Columbia but have just switched label allegiance to Hollywood Records. It was extensive plays on the Disney Channel which resulted in the success of "Year 3000". CR

To be perfectly honest, I prefer the Busted versions, because I was a complete busted nut, and I don't really like the changed lyrics. They were typically british songs, about a British comprehensive school experience (well, drama school as it was about Matts teacher) and as for year 3000? Michael Jackson is more likely to outsell Kelly Clarkson any day.
Basically, they're alright, but I prefer the originals from our boys ;)
and btw; mcfly, SOD and bustde aren't boy bands.

They totally taxed songs off busted though and changed a few lyrics, getting starting by some one elses song is wrong, fine covering it but putting it on the ablum....i don't think thats right

that's so unfair - James Bourne actually gave them the songs!!! & if u've listened to anything else about JB they also charted with Mandy & r soon to b releasing their 2nd album with NO covers. Also if u ask LOADS of JB fans they would probably say they liked JB's original songs rather than Year 3000 or What I Go To School For. Finally you should be proud of them coz i know US JB fans who now listen to Busted, Son of Dork & McFly just coz they heard JB's covers so i would say they are actually doing UK "boybands" a favour!
Luv Kirstin xxx (A proud UK JB (& Busted) fan =))
