Worship singer Noel Richards is to be one of the main performers at the Calling All Nations event

BRITISH worship leader Noel Richards has made a provisional booking for the Waldbuhre, Berlin for the 21st July 2001 as the first step in fulfilling his vision for Calling All Nations: A Global Gathering. The event, dubbed Part 1: Preparing The Way, will take place in the open-air amphitheatre, with a capacity of 22,000, which is part of the Olympic Stadium complex. It is planned the event will be the ideal stepping-stone to the big event at the Olympic Stadium, still being blocked by the authorities because of planned reconstruction of the venue. Said Richards about Part 1: Preparing The Way, "The purpose of the gathering, through worship and prayer, is to make a contribution to the re-evangelisation of Europe (the least evangelised part of the globe) and to prepare the way for the event at the stadium. We would gather for a long weekend. During this time we would prayer-walk the stadium and have a major gathering in the Waldbuhre." CR
