Royal Foundlings, Superhero, Steph McLeod to play new Glasgow event

BUILDING ON the success of the annual CreationFest in Wadebridge, Cornwall, a new one day event CreationFest Scotland will take place on 27th August. The festival, to be held at George Square, Glasgow, will feature music, skateboarding, sports and children's work. Acts set to play at the event are Royal Foundlings, Harmonica Movement, Steph McLeod, Allan McKinlay, Vital Signs, Superhero, Simon Kennedy Band, Macleod Ceilidh Band and Sam Hibbard. Speakers at the event are Brian Brodersen, David Robertson and Prof Andy McIntosh.

To help fund the new event a Creation Fest Mix Tape has been released in partnership with Music4Mission. The compilation album features tracks from LZ7, Evan Wickham, Ben Cantelon, Madi Cunningham and others. Read a press release, "All proceeds from the album go to support Creation Fest Scotland. This event has been a dream and vision for the Creation Fest team for over six years. The partnership from Scottish churches, organisations and individuals has contributed significantly to the development of this event. The city motto for Glasgow is 'Let Glasgow flourish through the preaching of the Word and the praising of His name'. The new Creation Fest Mix Tape is an invitation for us to participate in these things while supporting a significant new endeavour." CR
