The Tribe, Cathy Burton, Cross Movement and many more play successful free fest.

THE EVENT held at Woolacombe, Devon, which has quickly become Britain's most popular free Christian festival, Creation Fest, was held in bright sunshine on 6th to 8th August. Approximately 3,000 people attended the fest. Playing at Creation were Manchester musicianaries The Tribe, Philadelphia hip-hop posse Cross Movement, singer/songwriter Nicki Rogers, rising Californian rock band Smithfield, London rap duo M.O.D., critically acclaimed singer Cathy Burton, industrial breakbeat evangelists thebandwithnoname, Canadian rock group The Kry, Bristol four-piece Steve, Glasgow-based rock team Superhero, South African pop rap group MIC and up and coming Californian band Fairchild.

The event, organised by Calvary Chapel and supported by numerous local churches, has a dual emphasis, encouraging Christians to go deeper into the word of God and non-Christians to make a commitment to Christ. Said organiser Phil Pechonis, "This has been a fantastic weekend with a large number of young people finding salvation in Christ and with some inspiring music and worship. We are already looking forward to next year's event!" For more information and photos visit www.creationfest.org.uk. CR
