Glenn Kaiser, The Crossing, Lisa Twydell set to play Devon event in May.

A FOUR DAY event from 27th to 30th May is the outcome of a deeper partnership between Cross Rhythms and Gilead Foundations drug and alcohol rehabilitation ministry. Cross Fire will take place at Risdon Farm, near Okehampton, Devon. Booked to play the first Cross Fire is legendary American pastor and blues musician Glenn Kaiser, American Irish folk group The Crossing, Orpington-based singer/songwriter Lisa Twydell and speakers Tony Fitzgerald, Dr Clem Ferris and Chris Cole. Said Cole, "I suppose the first thing I need to emphasise is that Cross Fire isn't Cross Rhythms Festival. In fact, it's more of an event than a festival though there will be some extraordinarily good music ministry there. Cross Rhythms is an expression of the word in action, a radical attempt at converging the spiritual dimension of faith, prayer and worship with the practical dimensions of a social gospel. Very much a collaboration between two ministries, Cross Rhythms and Gilead, Cross Fire will, I believe, have a unique flavour." CR
