Denver band Yellow Second sign to Floodgate Records.

AMERICA's Floodgate Records have signed Denver-based band Yellow Second. The power pop group were formed in late 1999 by Scott Kerr, former member of the popular rock ska band Five Iron Frenzy. He quickly enlisted fellow FIF bandmate Andy Verdecchio, as well as Josh Hemingway and Brett Bowden. The band have a loyal following in the western US, having released two independent projects and toured and/or shared the stage with bands such as Five Iron Frenzy, Relient K and Number One Gun. Said Tim Taber, president of Floodgate Records, "I think we were initially just amazed by their incredible songwriting ability. But then we also got to know them as not only artists, but got to understand their focus. I knew instantly that I would be honoured to have Yellow Second on Floodgate Records." CR
