Gospel-based talent show to be broadcast on GMTV

THE SECOND Gospel Challenge search-for-a-UK-gospel-star will be broadcast live on GMTV in September. The event is being run by GMTV, The Voice newspaper and Integrity Music. Grassroots gospel acts are being asked to send a recording of their best two songs plus photo and biography. Judges will then select contestants to take part in regional heats in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Bristol during August and September. The winners of each regional heat will perform live on TV with the winning act receiving an Integrity Music recording contract. Peter McHugh, GMTV's director of programmes, commented, "GMTV is delighted to be joining forces with The Voice and Integrity Music to find Britain's best gospel act. Previous winners, Raymond And Co, look set to have a great musical career and we look forward to discovering more of the UK's gospel talent."
