Stryper Christmas album to release in multi-formats
THE LONG AWAITED Christmas album by metal hitmakers Stryper, 'The Greatest Gift Of All', is to be released by Frontiers Music Srl in a variety of formats on 21st November. It will not be released digitally. It is being issued on vinyl in gold, blue splatter, red splatter, test pressing and CD. The album features a mix of five original Christmas songs like "Still the Light", "Heaven Came (On Christmas Day)" and "On This Holy Night" and five oldies like "Go Tell It On The Mountain", "Little Drummer Boy" and "Joy To The World".
Said the band's leader Michael Sweet, "We have wanted to record a
Christmas album for many years. Ever since we released our first
single ('Reason For The Season') back in 1985, the fans have been
asking for a full-length Christmas album. Well, the time has finally
come. We wanted to make an album of five traditional songs and five
original songs. To put our own spin on our own Christmas album and not
follow the pack, so to speak. We could not be more pleased with how it
turned out!"
