Dance music label Myx Records launched in the US.

A RECORD label specialising exclusively in 'sanctified dance' music made it's UK debut in May, with the release of Scott Blackwell's acclaimed 'Walk On The Wild Side' album. Myx Records is a new Christian dance subsidiary of the Frontline Music Group, distributed in Europe by Word.

According to Frontline's Myx co-ordinator, Michael Sean Black, the vision of the label is "to provide an alternative (to mainstream dance music) and a slammin' house sound that speaks to the everyday Joe on the street." Looking after production and mix end of Myx is Scott Blackwell who has worked on hits by Madonna, Debbi Gibson, and ZZ Top among others. Two years ago Blackwell rededicated his life to Christ and after seeing Tim Miner and rappers SFC Blackwell became convinced that God could use sanctified dance. CR
