The Inspiration channel returns after three years of absence

THE INSPIRATION Channel, the British satellite TV Christian channel which went off air in May after three years of broadcasting, was relaunched on 6th July as the Christian Inspiration Channel, a peak time evening and Sunday service alongside Shop Aid TV. Shop Aid is a shopping channel which donates its profits to charities and broadcasts on EPG 657. Medium term intentions are to expand CIC broadcasts back to the point at which it will resume its status as a discrete 24-hour channel.

Tony Brill, CEO of the Group, said, "This is good news for the future of Christian broadcasting in the United Kingdom, with a practical solution secured for the continuance of one of the respected names in the Christian media. Having the opportunity to bring the Inspiration Channel into our Media Group, which also includes the Life TV channel (SKY EPG 202), will allow us to use our joint resources to offer choice to the Christian viewing public." CR
