The life of Mike Rimmer celebrated in Leeds event

A UNIQUE Christmas party celebrating the life and times of broadcaster and journalist Mike Rimmer is set to be held in Leeds on 17th December. Featuring live performances, giant screen videos and a rarities auction it promises to be "the fastest moving and funniest Christian music event of the year". Contributors include musicians Martin Smith, Rob Halligan, Steve Taylor, Freddie Kofi, Martyn Joseph and Brian Houston and poets Rob Dunsire and Tony Cummings. The Mike Rimmer Christmas Party will take place at St Peter's Church, Church Street, Gildersome, Leeds, LS27 7AF from 7.30pm and although a free event (donations welcome), entrance can only be guaranteed by emailing mikeschristmasparty@gmail.com to reserve seats.

Mike, who died in Birmingham in October, was last month given a posthumous award by StepFWD Awards for "services to the Christian and gospel music industry". CR
