TIME WARNER has decided to sell its Warner Music Group for 2.6 billion dollars to an investment group, fronted by Edgar Bronfman Jr. If the deal goes through it will mean that WMG and EMI would each account for 12 per cent of the global music market and there would be two super major record companies, Sony BMG and Universal Music Group, together controlling roughly half the worldwide music market. CR
