Singer/songwriter Nathan Tasker reflects on personal tragedy on new album

RENOWNED producer Paul Moak (Third Day, Mat Kearney) has produced the latest album by Australia-born singer/songwriter Nathan Tasker. 'Man On A Wire' features songs Tasker co-wrote with Moak and Jason Ingram. The title track and first single reflects Tasker's own journey of sorrow, with the loss of his infant twins and his father-in-law in 2011, and the season of joy with the birth of his healthy son, Theo. Said Tasker, "I've always been drawn to the image of a man on a wire, moving along a tightrope with a yawning gap below him. It turns out the way to stay on the wire is not by looking to the right of left, or backwards, or down, but rather to keep your eyes focused ahead, to the goal, to the other side. I resonate with that idea - keeping my eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of the faith, knowing that one day he will welcome me safely home." CR
