Progressive rocker Neal Morse working on new album.

PROGRESSIVE rocker and former Spock's Beard frontman Neal Morse is working on his second contemporary Christian album. Following on from great reviews for the autobiographical double CD, 'Testimony', he has started work on his second story-telling epic which explores themes of man's separation from God and their eventual reunion through Jesus. Despite no title as yet, Morse reckons it will be about 79 minutes of music and he has again enlisted the help of Dream Theater drummer Mike Portney, plus new recording recruit bassist Randy George. Said Morse, "I'm thrilled about the whole thing, thrilled what God has done bringing us together to do this thing. He knows I had no clue how this could possibly come together and work like it has - that's the great adventure of it - not knowing how it's going to turn out."

In the meantime, Neal has released a DVD featuring all of 'Testimony' being performed live in Holland in November 2003. The four hour double disc set features Neal with an eight-piece band. As well as all of 'Testimony', the DVD contains songs from Spock's Beard and Morse's prog supergroup Transatlantic. CR
