No Compromise, Live in the Park '97 to 'Fill the city with God'

NO COMPROMISE, Live In The Park '97 takes place at August the 20th in Hylands Park, Chelmsford and will feature The World Wide Message Tribe, Delirious?, Raze and Sarah Masen. The festival is expected to draw 4000 people and is organized by No Compromise Services Ltd which has been specifically set up to manage this event.

No Compromise (NC) is the name of a monthly youth service run by Elim Christian Centre in Chelmsford, Essex. Over the past four years its attendance has grown from 80 to about 800. Says John Winfieldale, one of the organisers: "We work from a text in the Bible which says 'Fill the city with God'. This event is just another step of our vision to make the gospel relevant for the youth. Also the festival will be an opportunity for people all around the country to see the two biggest UK bands live." CR
