Cody McCarver talks about his faith and music

THE JULY issue of Britain's Country Music People magazine has published a five-page feature about country music's Cody McCarver. Talking about his new album 'The Lord's Will' McCarver said, "Everything needs to be put into a neat box. We have gospel, Southern gospel, contemporary Christian, heavy metal Christian, hip-hop Christian, but we don't have a genre called outlaw gospel. So that's what we're gonna call it. I'm the first of the new genre." Later in the interview with journalist Douglas McPherson McCarver said, "I'm gonna go out and do Christian shows and ministries and be proud to stand up there and say my faith in God is strong and I wrote these songs because of it." CR
