Student worship movement Passion showcased in 2-CD compilation

AFTER A decade of youth-orientated worship music on nine recordings that have sold over 1.5 million copies, America's Passion event is showcased on the 30-song compilation 'The Best Of Passion (So Far)'. The two-CD set also includes such popular songs as "How Great Is Our God", "Blessed Be Your Name", "Indescribable", "All Over The World", "You Are My King" and "Holy Is The Lord". Featured as worship leaders on the compilation are Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Charlie Hall, Matt Redman and others. Included on the project are the never before released "Jesus, Lover Of My Soul" sung by Shelley Nirider and Chris Tomlin performing "The Wonderful Cross", a track formerly only available on iTunes.

Said Passion's founder Louie Giglio, "As we set out on this Passion journey, recording live worship CDs wasn't at the top of our priority list. Honestly, we were all a little stunned, and still are, as the soundtrack of Passion's wave has continued to circle the globe. While we are symbiotically linked to the songs, our compelling vision stretches beyond music alone as we long to see this collegiate generation - 132 million strong around the globe - awaken to the greatness and goodness of the risen Christ. It was a tough call trying to shrink Passion's musical history onto two CDs, but the result is an amazing collection than spans over a decade of Passion gatherings." The next conference Passion is hosting will be Passion 07, a four-day indoor gathering in Atlanta, Georgia for college students from around the nation and world. It will be held on 1st to 4th January, 2007 with more than 20,000 students expected to attend. CR
