Hard Rockers P.O.D break into US Charts

THE NEW album by hard music icons P.O.D., 'Payable On Death', entered America's mainstream album charts at number nine. Said the band's new guitarist Jason Truby about the project, "When you first hear it, it may not sound as heavy, but the rhythms are heavier and have more melodic melodies going over them." The band's Sonny Sanderval spoke to Billboard about his Christian faith, "If someone wants to know my personal beliefs and (that) I have joy in my life, then I want to share that with them, too. But if you just want to rock out and listen to music, then by all means, let the music take you."

'Payable On Death' is the first CD to be packaged with a video game, an expansion to the music orientated amplitude for PlayStation 2. The first million copies of the album have the video game disc which will allow users to remix the newly recorded, non-album P.O.D. song "Space" using its individual tracks. Using the controller, players can freestyle and scratch on top of the music and mix the song in a number of ways. The 'Payable On Death' music CD also includes enhanced elements -excerpts from the documentary Inside P.O.D. Culture and a key to a website that will allow fans to download a version of "Space". CR
