Buddy Miller's 'Universal United House Of Prayer' album gains accolades.

THE LATEST album by alt country pioneer Buddy Miller, 'Universal United House Of Prayer', which was recently nominated for a Grammy in the Best Southern, Country Or Bluegrass Gospel Album category, has now been picked up for American Christian retail distribution. The album has received numerous rave reviews. The New York Times said, "The songs are ornery and awestruck all at once," while Christianity Today which listed the album as one of the best Christian albums of 2004 praised the "gutsy and vulnerable lyrics that point to God as our one true hope and salvation." One of the standout tracks on the album is Miller's reading of the Bob Dylan classic "With God On Our Side". Said Miller, "That song is over 40 years old and it's still just as relevant. It's more of a song about people using God for whatever they want to do." CR
