Salsa's Alex D'Castro to headline Latin Summer UK in London

THE POPULAR salsa singer Alex D'Castro will headline Latin Summer UK, a one-day festival being held in Kennington Park, south London on Sunday 20th August. Alex is senior pastor of the Iglesia Nuevo Testamento (New Testament Church) in Puerto Rico. Prior to becoming a Christian in the late '90s, he was one of Puerto Rico's most popular salsa singers and worked with many of the country's top bandleaders - including Gilberto Santarosa and Nelson Gonzalez - before going solo and signing to PolyGram/Universal. He continues to perform and record today and is still very popular with salsa fans the world over, despite the overtly Christian content of his material. CR
