Cultural Shift 99 to be held in Southhampton in November

CULTURAL SHIFT 99, the conference for those establishing youth culture churches, is being held in Southampton on 14th November. The event is being organised by NGM, Revelation, Warehouse, Soul Survivor, Sublime and YWAM.

The organizers are deliberately playing down the 'big names' who will be contributing. "This is about planting radical new churches for the sake of the most Godless, broken generation in 200 years," say the organizers. "It's about sharing the aches and pains of such a call, as well as partying and thinking together. It's about planting tomorrow's churches today. There is undoubtedly a movement going on, and it is flowing up from the streets, not down from a platform." Various bands, DJs, speakers and intercessors will host the programme of seminars and celebrations. The Sunday morning session will be in Southampton's Ikon nightclub. There will also be a series of 'surgeries' offering leaders personal attention, advice from seasoned practitioners and prayer support.
