Shock splits from Shine and V*enna

IN A SHOCK announcement British Christian girl groups Shine and V*enna have both spoken about their intention to disband. Shine, whose second album 'Keep On Moving' was only released by Alliance Music in September, will be completing their engagements up until December but will then break up. A Shine press release said, "Shine will be ending their work as a band as several of the members have been called onto pastures new. We thank God for all the good things that he has done through Shine over the last few years! The schools work in Milton Keynes which Shine have set up will continue in some form. Your prayers for this and for each of the girls as they move on to new things would be very much appreciated." The 'Keep On Moving' album, financed by America's Reunion Records, will not now be released in the States.

In another move, the duo V*enna, consisting of Britain's Lucy Britten and USA's Sharnessa Shelton have broken up. A press release said, "As many of you will know Lucy has married Linz from the tribe and therefore the touring would prove difficult, particularly in the USA. Clearly their relationship comes first and although it has been hard we feel the correct decision has been made. Please pray for Sharnessa and Lucy as they pursue other things and also for Peter and Bobby (their dancers). We thank God for the lives that have been changed to God's glory through the work of V*enna!"
