Industry figure Matthew Knowles gets behind gospel with future releases

MUSIC INDUSTRY mogul Matthew Knowles, father of superstar Beyonce Knowles, after parting ways with Sanctuary has regained ownership of his Music World companies and revamped its gospel Christian music division Spirit Rising Music. The label's first release is 'The Pastor Rudy Experience Vol I: Touch' which will feature artists including Brian C Wilson, Ron Summers, Nikki Ross (a Kirk Franklin singer) and Soulfruit.

Up and coming projects on the division will be various artists projects 'Spirit Rising Vols I & II' featuring Bishop TD Jakes, Michelle Williams (Destiny's Child), Mary Mary, Mahalia Jackson, Marvin Winans, Mighty Clouds Of Joy, Kelly Price, Earth Wind & Fire, Israel & New Breed and Men Of Standard. A DVD is also to be released.

Other planned projects are a Michelle Williams dance remix album, the long awaited second album by girl group Ramiyah and an album by R&B gospel hitmakers Trin-I-Tee 5:7. CR
