UCB to launch two new sister stations

BRITAIN'S pioneering national Christian radio network United Christian Broadcasters have unveiled plans to launch two new radio stations to run parallel with their two existing stations. UCB Inspirational is set to begin broadcasting on 4th December and will feature softer, inspirational music. UCB Talk plan to commence early in the New Year and will feature Bible teaching, magazine programmes, news and edification.

On UCB Inspirational launch, UCB's existing, highly popular UCB Europe station will switch to an adult contemporary music format. UCB's programme controller Andrew Urquhart spoke about the expansion of UCB's services. "This is a really exciting development in UCB's history. The expanded services will now make UCB the most comprehensive Christian radio service anywhere in Europe with all tastes and interests within the Christian community covered by quality radio programming. UCB Europe will be family friendly radio, which is challenging, entertaining and spiritually uplifting with adult contemporary music to reach a wide listenership; Cross Rhythms, with its potent mix of R&B, rock and dance, will meet the needs of a new generation crying out for God; UCB Inspirational will bring a gentle, mature sound, which will be an oasis of peace in the midst of a stressful world; and UCB Talk will build up the Church as it proclaims the truth of God's Word." CR
