No matter if you like electronic music or not, Jerome Mikulich, founder of 3.1 Ministries in Chicago, has created a set of fresh, up beat tracks that will have you moving your head and feet from the opening tune. 3.1 Ministries have a mission to revive Christian youth through music that generates thought and energy. One issue I've found with electronic music is that after the same beat over and over throughout a 10 minute song without any variation the tune quickly becomes dull. Unfortunately, Mikulich borders on this problem with some of the songs such as "3.1 Anthem" with little or no melodic development quickly becoming rhythmic background music. However, the album does introduce some interesting mixes on opening track "G.O.C." and "Centered Upon God" with voice overs of testimonies and preaching. I only wish it was found more on the album than just a few songs. This combination provided energy and created a change between the other grooves. Let's face it, the ideal habitat for this album is on a dance floor rather than coming out of your home stereo. Some of the songs would suit video games with quick snappy upbeats and quirky sounds. DJs and dance fans looking for new stuff should check it out.
