Alun has been leading worship for over 15 years and has appeared on Kingsway's 'Young Lions' collection. This album dates back to 1999 and was self- penned and self-produced, so clearly Alun is a multi-talented guy. The sound is mainly reminiscent of early Matt Redman releases, being in the main brooding rock pop in style. In truth there is nothing outstanding here. Alun's voice is pleasant enough without being noteworthy and the songs themselves are competently performed although they tend to slip by without leaving much of an impression; things only really liven up on the more upbeat tracks such as "The Lion's Roar", "Song Of My Heart"and the driving "I Will Wait". Don't get me wrong, this is not a bad album, it's just that there's nothing here to particularly mark it out from others in its field.
