It's been about four years since the original Aptcore project was released and I remember interviewing the man behind it, Will Hunt in a hotel corridor in Nashville! At the time the mix of ambient sounds, dance rhythms and sampled spiritual chat wasn't exactly a new concept here in the UK but the Americans were raving about it. A few years on and it looks like Part 2 doesn't even get a UK release! This is a shame because for those of us who like things to be a little leftfield, there's plenty to enjoy here. If you liked DJs Doug Ross, Kenny Mitchell and Andy Hunter then this should be right up your street! A succession of interesting grooves, rhythms and samples and more traditional melodic moments mesh together to take you on a musical and spiritual journey. It's all good!
