Instrumental prowess from Paul Heyman (violin) and Pam Taylor (guitar, keyboards) supplemented by Denis Plum (percussion). Though it's Messianic Jewish based, the music's from various traditions incorporating Taize, Sal Solo, regular P&W material, traditional Jewish tunes and some Heyman originals. Paul's violin sound is as sizzling as ever, he's a maestro of technique and interpretation. Pam's clearly a competent enough accompanist, though the album's weakness is a somewhat fuzzy guitar sound which needed cleaning up. The tracks where keyboard replaces guitar are certainly preferable to my ears. "Sabbath Prayer" flows beautifully; "Praise Him Blues" is a surprisingly effective rocker, just two highlights of an enjoyable set. It's different and refreshing.
