Blenderhead are back with a slightly different sound. It is still punk/pop based, but it is much broader than that, with rock and indie elements and showing a broader technical ability, but still having the rawness you expect from a band with punk roots. It is all well played and well produced with some interesting and intelligent lyrics, but hard to get into. It is eclectic without being massively innovative and some songs seem to be a few musical ideas stuck together, making them sound stilted. Probably much better to hear them live. Mixed feelings.
