A surprising album indeed. I'd long thought the AmeriĀcan CCM scene had little interest in folk roots influĀenced pop/rock which is currently helping keep Britain's Mickey Mouse Christian music scene alive with bands like Eden Burning and Jonathan Day And =ye Of The Storm. But here's an American band who nave a trace of 70s folk rock with lead vocalist Lucy Lustor occasionally reminding me of a sanctified Sandi Denny. Not that this is exactly a roots album. There's too much slick pop production for that. Lyrics are rather good two ("How did love begin/Who gave life to men/How does hope survive in this world/But isn't it time we understand/The reason why/We live and die/Only a breath away"). An album worth ordering from your local Christian bookshop
