Florida-based Casey's six track CD is based on the premise that when "the sleeping giant of the sea awakes and causes problems" then "Christ will keep us safe - we just have to reach out our hand." With regard to the lyrical content, Daniels says, "The songs are about struggle - about someone going through something," and the message comes through strongly on this inaugural offering. Daniels' lone acoustic guitar accompanies his singing on each track, with synth underscore for the title track. The opener "Each Step" carries a plaintive vocal tone, which marks the album's style. "Don't Give Up", the second number, recounts "Every mountain in your way can be moved by just your faith, you can overcome it all." "You Came" finds some different chords, punctuating another testimony of hope. "When I nearly stepped away, Jesus you came/You came and you picked up all the pieces and you put them back in place/. . .Struggles come, we come undone, but your love, God, has won." These are simple melodies underpinned by the Gospel's message of hope, but the low key production leaves one wanting more.
