Back in 2010, Chichi Kuku, an Essex-based worship leader, won the Just Out Of This World music competition and has been working on this song, written by Mark Beswick and Pastor Mary Eniolu, for Integrity Media. With production credits that include Noel Robinson and Neil Costello, its pedigree is assured and this is, indeed, a promising first recording. A fusion of soul, rock and pop (with some vaguely familiar musical phrases from 1970s disco hits lurking in the mix) the arrangement is catchy and memorable and Chichi's voice is admirably suited to the theme of praise and worship which infuses the song. There will no doubt be more from this talented lady before long.
