I was pleasantly surprised with this new album by Christafari. As a lover of reggae music I wasn't very impressed with their first two albums, "Soulfire" (1994) andĀ  "Valley of Decision" (1996). To me they were just average. However there is nothing average about "Word Sound & Power". Christafari fans will love this new album and it will also appeal to those who, like myself, like the ragga style. "Word Sound & Power" comes with a 24 page booklet with full lyrics and an explanation about each song and the inspiration behind the writing of the songs. All songs are written by Mark Mohr and Ace Winn. There are 24 tracks on this CD and if you are fortunate enough to get a copy of this, you are getting great value for money. There are many hot cuts - THE ones to listen out for on Cross Rhythms radio areĀ  "Intentions", "Emancipation Proclamation", "Food For The Hungry" and "Render Your Heart (It's Only What You've Done For The Lord)". ENJOY!
