Following a well-received solo outing last year, US worship pastor, singer and songwriter Corey Voss has teamed up with Madison Street Worship - a team of highly capable musicians and vocalists from the man's local church Gateway Shelbyville in Tennessee. Going by the polished nature of this live release, said church is overflowing with talent and Voss generously lets his team take the spotlight with a revolving door of lead singers including Annalise Bush, Olivia Calderwood, Jenna Transki and Harley Rowell performing with passion songs that communicate what God means to them. For the most part, Voss employs the standard modern worship approach of staying in mid-tempo territory with pounding drums and slow builds being the order of the day but, thanks to Voss' ear for a good melody and the skill of all involved, this ends up being a stirring and memorable release from the worship leader despite the lack of musical contrast between each song.
