Crawford Bell is a real veteran of the British country music scene. Nowadays he spends most of his time recording other artists back home in Northern Ireland, but having seen him recently 'live' it's only a pity we don't see more of this fine Christian gentleman. This brilliant country gospel tape represents his first new recordings for ages and what a gem! Some self-written songs like "The Touch Of The Master's Hand", "When Jesus Passed By", "I Will Carry My Cross For You" are superb. "Go Down" is the old Doc Watson classic and "When I Go Down To The Valley To Pray" which Ricky Valli also recorded. This may be British country gospel but it knocks spots off many Yanks.
