Daphney has sung alongside such as artists as Vanessa Bell Armstrong and Yolanda Adams amongst others. This makes it all the more surprising that this is her first album. Listening to the CD reveals an artist who sounds like an established gospel singer that has been around for some time. This is reflected in growing airplay on US radio and becoming Editor's Pick in Gospel Music Fever (whatever that is). Of the 13 tracks here, Daphney has contributed to the songwriting on 11 songs so expectations are running high. The album opens with the funky "In His Presence", other great tracks include the slightly retro "Everyday", the more traditional sounding "I Call Him Mine" and the gentle reggae influenced "I Will Go". The diverse musical influences and crisp, rich voice are very apparent here and make the album more attractive to those not seasoned gospel music devotees.
