Enfrared are two rappers from San Diego, California and this is a promising project with plenty of challenges to the listener to "return from your sins and be born again" (from "Handztied"). There is also some thought provoking teaching on "Idolatry" while "Life After Death" features a nice east coast scratch-filled rolling break. In keeping with contemporary releases, Enfrared bring a number of beats and styles to keep things fresh. Issues tackled include street crime ("put away your guns and knifes. and turn to Christ") and the lust of the eyes ("Wonderin' Eyes") while there are some tight beats though a few are a little too repetitive. Overall the tracks feel quite old skool in nature, head nodding and looped but with some nice touches, eg, "Ayo (Remix)" and the challenging "What If (Remix)" where Enfrared ask, "If you slipped into eternity, would your life be right?" A real standout is the admirable "Give Ur Life" where unbelievers are challenged to give their lives to Jesus Christ and the pleasantly Christ-focused, if slightly off-tune, "Faithful And True."
